Membership

If you are interested in joining our church, we are glad to help! At the end of our Worship Service is a time of invitation, where you may come forward and join Town East Baptist. Or you may schedule a time to visit with our pastor. In any case, we are always available and ready to answer your questions, helping to guide you through this process.

Our purpose is to glorify God by making and equipping disciples of Jesus Christ who are dedicated to worshipping God, growing in faith, and sharing the Gospel. We invite you to join us on this journey as we seek to know God more deeply through His Word and live out our faith in our community.

Do you ever wonder why people say it is important to join a church?

We are grateful for your interest in possibly becoming a member at Town East Baptist Church. People occasionally ask, “Why should I actually join a church? Is there anything about joining a church in the Bible? Maybe I could just come and sit as a spectator.” There are answers to those questions! The Bible says that when we become a Christian, we are to be joined together in the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13, 27). We should become a part of a local body of believers (church).

We believe it is God’s plan for every Christian to be more than a spectator in a church. God wants us to be a member and a vital part of a local body of believers so that we can receive the encouragement and nourishment that comes from being with other Christians. As a member of Town East Baptist Church, we make a commitment to our church; to give, to be faithful in our attendance, and to use our spiritual gift to serve others. However, the road does not end there. The church is committed to you; to watch over you, to nourish you, to encourage you, and to hold you accountable.

EXPECTATIONS

WORSHIP

Every week, we gather to worship a mighty God through worship and a message by Pastor Bill Allred. Worship is the act of reverence, adoration and devotion, through prayers, singing hymns and showing our commitment and a desire to follow His will for our lives.

SERVE

1 Corinthians 12 tells us that we are one body and many parts. We want to help you discover your spiritual gift and an area to volunteer in the body. We have a variety of positions, and we look forward to serving one another and our community together. We are committed to reaching our city, nation, and world for Jesus Christ.

INFLUENCE

The church provides guidance on moral behavior and Christian living through sermons, Bible studies, and discipleship programs. This helps us develop a moral compass and grow in our faith by understanding God's Word. We serve as a source of comfort and strength during stressful periods and times of grief. By providing a mission and purpose that is larger than ourself, the church inspires us to contribute to something meaningful. It encourages members to discover their spiritual gifts and use them in service.
